KoMtB - Eddie's Reference

  Important note:  As a Zoroark, Eddie can talk to Pokemon.  However, she cannot talk to humans.  She can't read, but she can understand most of what humans say to her.

Name: Eddie

Gender: Female

Age: 5 years old (appearance of an 18-year-old)

Weight: 178.8 lbs

Height: 5’3”

Origin:  Hoenn

Personality: Haughty and waaay too full of herself.  She is absolutely confident she can pull of being a human.  She already sees herself as one, and carries herself as superior to other Pokemon.  Her mindset on the nature of Pokmone training is twisted, therefore she treats her own Pokemon rather poorly.  Their opinions don’t matter to her and they have no choice but to obey her every word.  But it’s all talk, really.  This paper thin disguise leaves her walking on thin ice everywhere she goes.  She wings almost everything she does and truly doesn’t know what she’s doing.  Despite her grievances, she is still a Zoroark at her core and as such is sly and full of tricks.  She won’t accept no for an answer and will get her way no matter how many slippery and dirty tricks she has to pull to get it.

History:  Eddie was born at a breeding facility.  Pokemon there were bred to have great potential and egg moves.  Eddie’s father was what they called a “perfect specimen.”  She rarely saw him because they used him for many battles, but she admired him very much.  One day, while still a young Zorua, she disguised herself as a Rattata and managed to sneak out of her pen.  She made her way to where her father was in a battle nearby.  He was doing well before the foe struck in a fatal blow.  He died instantly and Eddie witnessed the whole thing. 

Though traumatized, this event caused her to change her outlook on Pokemon and their purpose in this world.  She came to the conclusion that Pokemon were tools and humans the superior species.  She didn’t want to be a Pokemon anymore.  She didn’t want to die like her father did.  So for a long time she observed the humans around her and memorized the things they did and the way they acted.  Until she could convincingly cast an illusion of a child over herself.  The staff saw her and brought her to the nearby city to try and figure out where her parents where.  She escaped from them and from that point on began her mission to become a human.

Four years later, now a Zoroark, Eddie finally found an opportunity to put all her efforts to the test.  A tournament would be a great way to play the part of a real trainer.  And though she didn’t understand what the prize was, she was sure it would be something great.  Eddie caught her team through trickery and deceit.  But their feelings matter not to her.  For they are the tools and she is the master.  By this point, she had nearly convinced herself that was the truth.

Name: Scaly

Gender: Male

Height: 4’0”

Personality:  A “cool guy” in his own right.  He talks tough, but he has a soft side.  He cares very much for the Audino that worked at the Pokemon Center in the nearby town.  He used to be the leader of a small gang of Scraggy Pokemon before being defeated by his rival, the leader of the Mienshao gang.   It was then that he met Fluffy and has since vowed to grow stronger and reclaim his title.  He agreed to join Eddie under the shallow promise that she would help him become stronger. 

Species: Audino

Name:  Fluffy

Gender: Female

Height: 3’3”

Personality:  Typical Audino personality.  She’s sweet, caring, and selfless.  She’ll go out of her way to help any injured Pokemon.  She helped heal Scaly when she found him injured in the woods and they have since been quite smitten with each other.  She has spent most of her life working at a Pokemon Center.  She joins Eddie on her quest only so that she can stay with Scaly. 

Species: Maractus

Name: Spiky

Gender: Female

Height: 3’2” (ears up) 2’0” (ears down)

Personality:  A rather wild and lackadaisical sort.  Spiky doesn’t have a care in the world.  She only likes to sing and tell jokes that only she finds funny.  She can’t stand a somber mood and will do anything she can to lighten it up again.  Her history is pretty much unknown, since she changes her story every time.  Sometimes she used to be a superstar, sometimes she was a famous ballerina, and other times she’s a three time contest champion in the Beauty category.

Species: Trubbish

Name:  Smelly

Gender: Male

Height: 2’6”

Personality:  An unfortunate creature.  His own existence is means for mockery.  As such, his self-esteem is quite low and he’ll rarely stand up for himself.  He thinks of himself as useless and weak and Eddie’s constant berating definitely doesn’t help.  However, he is grateful that she even decided to let him join her team and wants to do his best to help.

Name:  Cutie

Gender: Female

Height: 1’9”

Personality: A very innocent pup who has no idea she was stolen from her original owner.  She dreams of becoming a Lycanroc (midday) and being a hero of justice.  However, she loves Eddie very much and her bad influence is taking effect on the impressionable pup.

Shadow Pokemon

Name:  Biggy

Gender:  Male

Height: 5’3”

Personality:  A very large and mysterious Pokemon.  He has so far never spoken a work or even shown any response to a question or comment directed to him.  It’s a mystery where he came from or why he was in Orre.  He has a tag on him which doesn’t answer any questions.  He has an odd aura coming from him that only Pokemon can feel in moderation.  It leaves the rest of the team feeling quite uneasy with his presence.
